We’ll change it out every day from now until #GivingTuesday.
AC/DC was formed in the early 70’s by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, with guidance from their older brother George, who had been a guitarist with the band Easybeats. They went through several personnel changes before hooking up with a stable lineup that included singer Bon Scott. Their debut album, High Voltage, was released in 1975, and was a big success. The follow up album, TNT, which was released later that same year on the Australian label Albert Productions, further focused the band’s stripped down, simplified approach to rock and roll.
Malcolm Young remained the band’s rhythm guitarist from the band’s inception in the early 70’s until his departure in 2008. A sufferer of dementia in his later years, Malcolm Young, succumbed to the disease in November of 2017.
Today’s #GivingTuesday song of the day is “It’s A Long Way To The Top” off of AC/DC’s TNT album.
RIP Malcolm Young (1953-2017)
